Terms & Conditions of Château de Névian
Making your reservation: This property is reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, before you reserve, you are required to review and sign a rental agreement for the château (the “Rental Agreement”). We will send you the Rental Agreement by email. The Rental Agreement explains in detail all of terms and conditions regarding rental and use of the property in detail. We shall have no obligation to accept any reservations, unless the Rental Agreement is fully executed.
Payment: After you have signed the Rental Agreement and filled out the appropriate information, as approved by us, a nonrefundable (except in cases of Force Majeure) payment of one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee (which price is defined in your Rental Agreement) must be received by us within seven (7) days to confirm the reservation. The remaining one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee is due 60 days before the arrival date, and is also non-refundable as defined above. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, then 100% of the Rental Fee must be paid upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. Please know that a failure to pay any portion of the Rental Fee as set forth above and in Rental Agreement can result in loss of the reservation of the château and a termination of the Rental Agreement. We will confirm receipt of each payment and note any outstanding balance and due date(s).
Cancellation: We have a no refund cancellation policy, except in cases of Force Majeure, but usually succeed in rescheduling cancelled reservations. Failure to pay the final balance (which is due 60 days before arrival) or provide required information for the security deposit may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due.
Security deposit: A security deposit of €1500 paid via bank transfer to the owner together with the final balance 60 days before arrival and refunded within two weeks after departure, or paid in cash on the arrival date and returned on the departure date, subject to full inspection.
Liability & Insurance: All visitors are recommended to arrange their own holiday insurance, including medical cover, cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay. The owners can accept no liability for accidents. The owners of the Château de Nevian will not accept any liability for any loss, injury or damage of any nature whatsoever sustained to or by any person in the course of their occupation of the Château de Nevian, its Estate, as a result of the occupation of that property or any activity carried out in the course of such occupation, such activity and occupation being carried out at the individual’s own risk.
Arrival & Departure: Arrival on Saturday 17:00 hours and departure on Saturday at 10:00 hours.
Minimum Stay: 1 week – please inquire about exceptions outside the summer months.
Services Included: End of stay cleaning is included in the rental fees. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Energy and air conditioning costs, linen & towels (indoor and outdoor), pool heating (please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures), are included.
Specific restrictions:
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the chateau. Smoking is outside only, and ashtrays are provided in various locations.
- Stag/hen parties are not allowed.
- Weddings and other special events and/or celebrations are permitted only with the express permission of the owner.
- The chateau is situated in a rural environment and noise travels further in the countryside. Please respect our neighbours in the nearby houses by keeping excessive noise and loud music to a minimum after 10pm. No parties must be held in the property.
- No pets are allowed.
