After exploring the historic city of Carcassonne, return to your own historic chateau. You will have exclusive use of the house, pool and gardens. This magnificent chateau has stunning period features throughout and is filled with historic paintings, tapestries and objets d’art. The house sleeps 14-16. There are 6 sumptious, air conditioned bedroom suites and an apartment with a further bedroom within the chateau itself. The apartment can either be used as self-contained accommodation or opened up so everyone can share its cinema room. For groups of 16, an extra bedroom with 2 single beds can be made available. On the ground floor there is a grand hallway and staircase, 3 lavish salons, two grand pianos, a dining hall with banquetting table and a state of the art modern kitchen leading to the pool area. The pool is a heated saltwater pool within a sheltered pool area with exterior kitchen. There are ornamental gardens on two sides of the chateau.

Unusually for such a grand house, the chateau has a village location with a bar, restaurant and shops all within walking distance. This unique historical chateau is ideally located as a base for exploring the Languedoc region of the South of France, being only a short (3o min) drive from the famous mediaeval city of Carcassonne. There is secure car parking for numerous vehicles within the fully fenced and walled grounds.

Looking for Carcassonne holiday accommodation? Château de Névian is only 30 minutes drive from Carcassonne airport.

By Air

Château de Névian is served by 5 international airports. The closest airport is Carcassonne (30 minute drive). You can fly direct to Carcassonne from Bournemouth, East Midlands, London Stansted, Manchester and Edinburgh.

There are also airports at Beziers (40 mins) and Perpignan (50 mins). Ryanair flies from both these airports. There are direct flights to Beziers from London Stansted, London Luton, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh. Birmingham, Leeds and London Stansted have routes to Perpignan.

If you aren’t planning on hiring a car, both Carcassonne and Beziers have shuttle buses to the local station timed to coincide with flight arrivals and a local bus (Line 6) takes you to Perpignan station.

A little further, but are Montpellier (1h 10 mins) and Toulouse (1 h 40 minutes) airports. Both have TGV stations. BA, Ryanair and EasyJet fly into Toulouse from the UK and EasyJet into Montpellier.

By Rail

You can pick up local or TGV trains from Lézignan Corbières or Narbonne, both of which are just over 10km from Chateau de Nevian. There are intercity trains to Lyon, Paris, Toulouse, Montpelier and Spain. Taxis are available but you may need to book. There is also a bus that runs from Narbonne to Névian village.
